UTurn Studios goes underground...

...literally! Join us for something a little different, a lot fun and all for a great cause! On Groundhog Day, February 2, 2010; we will be participating in a new Relay For Life fundraiser at Fantastic Caverns. It's the Groundhog Mosey, a very unique opportunity to walk through Fantastic Caverns. We all know Fantastic Caverns as America's Only Ride-Through Cave, but now you have the unique opportunity to walk through, exploring and enjoying at your own pace. The best part, in my opinion, is that no matter how cold it is that day it will be a warm and cozy 60º inside the cave! We will be there taking photos, and for an addition donation to Relay For Life, you can even have your photo made with "Greta the Groundhog"!! Dog Fest this Saturday!!

Don't forget to come out for DogFest this Saturday, September 26 from 10am to 2:30pm at Chesterfield Park. This event is free and open to the public. Features include canine-related demonstrations, vendors and rescue organizations. And of course, the outrageously fun Dachshund Dash! While you're there, be sure to stop by our booth. The Secret is Out!! Summer Special...

We are celebrating Summer with a cool pet photo special! We introduced it at Bark in the Park this weekend and it's a hit. It's time!!

I can't believe it, but it's time for Santa photos already! We'll be at All Pet Supplies South all day this Saturday and Sunday doing pet photos with Santa. Look for another post tomorrow with full details and an exclusive sneak preview of this years' backdrop. UTurn Studios is at All Pet Supplies North on Saturday!!

Don't forget, this is the final regular pet photo day of the year at All Pet Supplies. (We have two more dates at All Pets in November, but these will all be for Pet Photos with Santa- more to come on this) For this Saturday, I'll have a variety of backdrops for you to choose from, including a couple of fun ones for those of you want a picture of your pooch in their Halloween costume. Here are the specifics:

When: Saturday, November 1 from 10am to 5pm

Where: All Pet Supplies, Northside Location on West Kearney Street

•  Packages start at only $15, with no sitting fee

•  No appointment needed, photos are taken on a first come, first served basis from 10am to 5pm

•  View and select your photos on the spot, then receive your prints by mail

Murphy & Hoover

Meet Murphy and Hoover, a couple of great dogs. These boys are Wheaten Terriers and have very fun, energetic personalities. I have not had the opportunity to work with many Wheatens, as there just aren't that many in this area, but they were a blast and it was a fun challenge to find their eyes under that wonderful tuft of hair on their foreheads! On the day of our studio session, it was raining and we weren't able to shoot anything outdoors. Luckily we were able to meet back up at Nathaniel Greene Park a few days later– it's an absolutely gorgeous place to shoot. We even had some Canadian Geese make a guest appearance.

 

Dog Fest - only two days away!!

One of Springfield's best dog-related events of the year is coming up this Saturday, September 27. This is one you don't want to miss, there's FREE admission, the Dachshund Dash, a silent auction with wonderful items, and TONS of dog-related vendors to visit with. It all takes place from 10am to 2:30 pm at the Chesterfield Family Center Park. This is such a fun event, and best of all, it benefits the Cruse Dog Park project. While you're there, stop by the UTurn Studios booth. We'll be handing out our popular "doggie takeout boxes" to the first 100 visitors to our booth, and make sure to bid on our silent auction item. It's a photo session worth $185! The weather forecast for Saturday is beautiful, so it's a great time to take Fido for an outing. Hope to see you all there!

Another Rainy Saturday...

Well, the weather predictions are for rain this Saturday. Again. But don't despair, I have a great suggestion for indoor fun! UTurn Studios will be taking photos all day Saturday at All Pet Supplies North. We will begin at 10am and wrap up at 5pm. Come by and have your pet photographed. There will be a variety of backdrops to choose from, and also several very affordable photo packages to choose from as well. Arf-Fest this Sunday!

 I'm so excited for this weekend's Arf-fest event! Be sure to stop by the UTurn Studios booth when you are there, the first 50 visitors will receive a fun doggie "take-out" box, complete with dog biscuits and a coupon for a free 8x10! This will be a fun and exciting event, complete with dog parades and contests, pet artists, a vendor area and much more. All of this takes place on the afternoon of Sunday, April 27 from 1pm to 6pm on Historic Commercial Street in downtown Springfield. The festivities will surround the Jefferson Avenue Footbridge area.
