Raise your paw if you're adorable...

This is Dakota, dog model extraordinaire. His Mom brought him out for a modeling session a few weeks back and he did great job! He is such an adorable little guy, and he was just full of personality which I think really comes through in his photos. Here are just a few of my favorites, it was hard to narrow them down because he's just so darn lovable. For anyone interested in getting your pet in for modeling, I am booking my January pet model sessions now. Give me a call at 417-844-6620 for details.

Last call for Pet Photos with Santa!!

The Pet Photos with Santa were a hit this past Saturday at All Pet Supplies Southside store. We had such a great assortment of pets, families and even a couple of adorable babies (of the human variety). Did you miss it?!? Don't worry- we'll be doing it all over again this coming Saturday at the All Pet Supplies North location. Here are the details:

When: Saturday, November 22, 2008
By appointment from 9am to 4pm

Where: All Pet Supplies North, 2845 W. Kearney Street

Photos: There are several great photo packages to choose from, starting as low as $10. At the South store, our most popular seller were the personalized Holiday cards, available in packs of 10 (with envelopes) for only $15!

Appointments: There are still appointments available, to reserve your spot call All Pet Supplies North at 417-865-6800.

Below you'll find a few of my favorite pet photos from the day. The background scene will be the same for this coming Saturday and the same Santa too. By the way, is he not the most amazing Santa you've ever seen? Call for your appointment now, this is the last call for Santa photos this year!

And, I've saved the best for last. This is perhaps the funniest picture I've ever taken. Ever. This gorgeous Dalmation puppy, Shelby, was terrified of Santa. Now that is something that VERY rarely happens, because Santa is amazing with the pets and has a huge pet-loving heart. Most dogs go straight for him, but not Shelby. Because it never happens, I was a little befuddled about what to do. I suggested that Shelby pose with her person, and we'd add Santa as a background element. As he was sneaking in between the trees, Shelby was onto my plan and this is the result... When I took the photo, I realized it would be hilarious, but not as hilarious as I found it upon closer inspection. Check out Shelby's face, she was yawning a nervous yawn but it looks like she is yelling for Santa to go away. Too funny!

Photos from the November All Pet Supplies Photo Day

Even though it didn't keep with the regular Photo Day schedule, the November 1st photo day at All Pet Supplies North was a hit!! There were so many great dogs I can't fit them all in one blog post. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day. Check back later for part two...

Hayden, an adorable little english bulldog puppy, brought her Winnie the Pooh to be in a few shots with her. Her mom tells me that Pooh is Hayden's sleeping partner and constant companion. I like that it helps to show off just how small Hayden really is!

And last but certainly not least, meet miss Ruby, here as herself...

And here transformed into a groovy dog hippie!

Photos from Jan's Grooming Photo Day

What a fun day it was at Jan's Grooming– we celebrated several different holidays! The photo day was a week or so before Halloween, so a few dogs brought in their Halloween costumes (who can resist a Boston dressed as Elvis– and a pug clown...too cute!). Others wanted to get a jump start on their Holiday photos for cards, and then a few wanted an "everyday" non-holiday shots. It certainly makes for a colorful blog post...

Murphy & Hoover

Meet Murphy and Hoover, a couple of great dogs. These boys are Wheaten Terriers and have very fun, energetic personalities. I have not had the opportunity to work with many Wheatens, as there just aren't that many in this area, but they were a blast and it was a fun challenge to find their eyes under that wonderful tuft of hair on their foreheads! On the day of our studio session, it was raining and we weren't able to shoot anything outdoors. Luckily we were able to meet back up at Nathaniel Greene Park a few days later– it's an absolutely gorgeous place to shoot. We even had some Canadian Geese make a guest appearance.
